The graduation ceremony of the Executive MBA UZH marked the festive highlight of this inspiring and transformative program. 59 graduates of the EMBA UZH gathered with their families and friends in the auditorium of the University of Zurich to receive their well-earned diplomas and celebrate this special milestone in style.
Ingrid Deltenre, member of the Executive Education Board, opened the ceremony. In her speech, she acknowledged the outstanding achievements of the graduates and emphasized the important role of their supportive network of family and friends during their challenging EMBA studies.
Aurelie Litynski, Positive Work Culture Expert and Learning & Development Consultant at Happitude at Work, gave the keynote speech. Under the title “Making a Difference with Positive Leadership”, she gave the recent EMBA graduates valuable inspiration for their own leadership practice.
A musical highlight was provided by the award-winning blues duo Christina Jaccard and David Ruosch, who rounded off the festive atmosphere with an impressive performance.
Barbara Werthmüller from the EMBA UZH Alumni Board and the Program Directors of the EMBA UZH with a Focus on Digital Transformation, Dr. Matthias Schaub and Thorsten Klein, then presented the diplomas to the graduates.
After the official ceremony, the festive occasion continued with an apéro in the university's Lichthof before the celebrations culminated in the Zunfthaus Zur Waag.
The prizes for the best degrees were awarded to Dr. Pierre-Jean Alet and Dr. Adrian Bachmann during the dinner.
Annabelle Weber from the EMBA UZH Alumni Board presented the prizes for the most innovative Master's theses.
The Alumni Award for the most innovative Master's thesis in the English-speaking EMBA UZH went to Dr. Greta Preatoni for her thesis “Building MYNERVA’s Business Model for Healthcare Impact”.
In the German-speaking EMBA UZH, Sibylle Wälchli and David Grisot was awarded the Alumni Prize for the thesis “Wertgenerieung mit Innovation in Infrastrukturunternehmen. Eine Fallstudie anhand von BIM im Tiefbau”.
