The University of Zurich offers two distinct Executive MBA programs, both designed to fit around your work commitments, allowing senior managers from business and administration to complete their general management training in just 15 months and gain an edge in topics related to Digital Transformation.

– The Executive MBA (DE/EN) in General Management with a focus on Digital Transformation is taught primarily in German, with some English required. This program includes 3-day modules every two weeks in Zurich and study visits to Yale University and Stanford University and to another innovation hotspot in Europe or Asia.

– The Executive MBA (EN) in General Management with a focus on Digital Transformation is taught entirely in English. It features 6-day modules every four weeks in Zurich and includes Learning Expeditions to Yale University and Stanford University and to another innovation hotspot in Europe or Asia.

Both programs offer an international and dynamic learning experience tailored to leaders seeking to enhance their skills while continuing to work.

 

 

Leadership Journey

In a constantly changing world, managers are expected to provide orientation and inspiration
while delivering top performance - how can this be achieved? Throughout the EMBA program, our participants are supported on a leadership journey to find answers to this question and then apply these insights in their daily work. This helps both their own career and the development of the company.


The first step of the Leadership Journey focuses on you as a manager. You are invited to reflect on your professional career to date and think about your motivation to lead. Under expert guidance, you will define your personal leadership goal. Based on current research findings in the field of leadership and the exchange of experiences with your classmates, you will then identify behaviors that characterize effective leaders. Practical exercises will help you to develop your personal leadership potential. Finally, a personal action plan will provide a snapshot of your current leadership style, the desired end state, as well as milestones to achieve the goal.

 

In further steps of the Leadership Journey, you will look at the necessary prerequisites for creating an environment in which your teams can perform at their best. Based on exercises on self-awareness, awareness of others and emotional intelligence, you will develop strategies to motivate teams and master challenging situations.

The topics of team diversity and organizational culture will also be discussed, in particular the support provided by digital innovations.

At the end of the Leadership Journey, your long-term ambitions will be examined: What lasting impact do you want to make in an ever-changing world? And what do you want to leave behind as a legacy at the end of your career?

Your personal Leadership Journey is complemented and supported by 1-2-1 coaching and assessment tools that help you to develop your own leadership skills.

As an overall concept, the Leadership Journey is based on insights from evidence-based research, the exchange of experiences within your class, and the exchange with successful leaders from the corporate world.

During the program, the Leadership Journey prepares you to recognize opportunities and overcome challenges in turbulent and uncertain times - for yourself, your team and your company.
